8-yr boy branded by kin for not going to school

PRODDATUR: In a barbaric act, an 8-year-old boy was branded by his uncle for not going to school at Vinayak Nagar three days ago. But the incident came to light on Sunday when the police went to his house to inquire the matter. According to the police, Noor Basha is a third class student. His mother Husanamma works as a maid, while his father Dastagiri who is unemployed, is a drunkard. Noor Basha is irregular to school as he used to be thrashed by his father frequently. His uncle Chinna Dastagiri (brother of Dastagiri), got angry on knowing that Noor Basha did not go to school. After tying him to a pole with a rope, Chinna Dastagiri, an auto driver, inflicted injuries on the boy of Noor Basha with a heated spoon. Chinna Dastagiri who left the house after branding Noor Basha, has not returned home.  When the police asked his mother about the incident, Husanamma told them that she was not present at home when his son was branded by his uncle. The police are on the lookout for Chinna Dastagiri.
