CHENNAI: Giving the week a glitzy start, models in the city on Monday sashayed down the ramp displaying a choice assemblage of diamond necklaces, that will be part of a diamond pendant and necklace festival at NAC. The exclusive collection will be on display from December 14 to February 14, 2012.“Over 1,000 distinctive designs ranging from Rs 25,000 to Rs 25 lakh will be part of this collection, with diamonds set in gold and platinum,” said N Anantha Padmanaban, managing director of NAC Jewellers. During the special diamond mela, customers will be given a gift voucher worth 10 percent of their purchase value. This voucher can be redeemed after 90 days when the customer can buy jewellery at the lowest gold price during the interim period. The customer can also deposit 25 per cent of his purchase value during his first purchase, and use that 90 days later to make another purchase at the lowest gold price during the three-month period.During the event, 60 employees of NAC Jewellers also became organ donors and received donor cards from Mohan Foundation, a non-profit organisation working in the organ donation area. The NAC Jewellers’ charity wing, Anandam Foundation, on Monday too donated Rs 5 lakhs to Mohan Foundation. It was also announced during the diamond collection launch that NAC Jewellers’ first showroom in T Nagar would be opened in 2012.
