Abhishek Bachchan's last two films 'Dhoom 3' and 'Bol Bachchan' were blockbusters. And yet the actor is not considered in the superstar league. The actor whose hit films include mostly multi-starrer will be seen in Farah Khan's latest 'Happy New Year' which is also is an ensemble film co-starring Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone, Boman Irani, Sonu Sood and Vivaan Shah along with Bachchan.
Is it a conscious decision on his part to act in multi-starrers, we ask him. " Yes, I like being a part of ensemble films. I see a film in its entirety, not how much screen time I will get. Even a 20 second part is a important part in the film, I feel. Besides, I am not that arrogant to think that I will do only solo-hero projects. I think you all will be bored if you see only me on-screen because I am a very boring person," said Bachchan.
Was there any initial apprehension to do a film with Shah Rukh Khan, considering that he may overshadow other actors in the film. "Not at all. I am secured enough as an actor to not think that way. Besides its great to be working with Shah Rukh. I have known him before I became an actor. He is very close to me and my family. I think you should ask him how he felt to work with all of us in a film where each of us had an important role. Why he gave us that platform to act," said Bachchan.
Farah Khan's film is about a group of people who take part in world dance competition. When asked what is his 'happy dance', Abhishek replied " Whatever steps Farah teaches, that's my favorite step." Abhishek will be next seen in 'Housefull 3'.
