The aircraft was reportedly overloaded and passengers with tickets were asked to leave.
Mumbai: Around 50 passengers of Air India's Mumbai-London-Chicago flight were offloaded on Tuesday at the Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport here due to "non-availability" of seats, sources said.
The passengers with confirmed tickets who came to board the aircraft, were denied entry saying no seats were available as the flight was overbooked.
The passengers had a tough time as Air India officials told them they would only be able to board another flight tomorrow and have been asked to stay in a hotel.
