The Disco era of the 70s will come alive today on Day 5 at Lakme Fashion Week. News is that the cast of Vipul Shah's latest film Action Replayy, including the director himself will be present at Neeta Lulla's show scheduled at 7 pm.
The cast including Akshay Kumar, Aditya Roy Kapoor, Rannvijay and Vipul are slated to give a live sneak-peek to the audience of the funky costumes in the movie that has grabbed several headlines already. From real time, the film turns the clock back and transports the audience into the 70s with a heavy dose of fun and frolic expressed through the costumes donned by the characters.
Akshay who is sporting longer hair in the film has also admitted that his look has been inspired by the late veteran actor Sunil Dutt. In fact, he has even said that "wearing bold prints and polka dots was interesting". However, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan reportedly will give this event a miss.
Akshay who had been arrested on suspicion of obscene behaviour during the Lakme Fashion Week in March, 2009 (after wife Twinkle Khanna was photographed unbuttoning a pair of jeans that the actor was modelling on the ramp) will play safe watching the show unveil from the front row this time.
