Mumbai: Television actor Aman Verma has been part of many shows like 'Teen Bahuraniyaan' and 'Devi', but says 'Kyunki... Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi...' and 'Khullja Sim-Sim' were the game changers for him.
"The turning point for me was getting entry into 'Kyunki...', a famous show. Then I got my own show 'Khullja Sim Sim' where I was the host and that completely changed it for me," he told IANS.
"If you want to survive as an actor, I firmly believe whether it is TV or films or theatre, you need to startle people. As long as you have the ability to do that, you will survive," added the actor who made his acting debut with TV serial 'Pachpan Khambe Laal Diwar'.
Currently seen playing a cop in 'Hum Ne Li Hai - Shapath', Aman admits he always wanted to don the khakee uniform on the screen.
"I always wanted to play a cop and I got that opportunity on the show," he said and added that the crime-based show depicts super natural elements that attract children.
"The kind of scenes (involving) super humans, super villain and supernatural has clicked with the people. The channel is trying to make it children-centric. A lot of children want to see Indian heroes. This got them interested," he said.
"Shapath" comes on Life Ok and the channel also motivated him to be part of the show.
"I know people at Life OK and I am close to them. This is a show where they are trying something different. If you see the kind of shows Life Ok brings, they try to break away from the traditional shows. I wanted to be part of the channel," he said.
His acting is appreciated in the movie, said the actor, who is in talks for some films as well.
