Amitabh Bachchan escapes suspected explosion
The actor was in London on work for his next venture, 'Budda'.

The actor was taking a break from his long production for Budda in London when they were asked to evacuate their hotel rooms.

Amitabh Bachchan tweeted, "ok ... Emergency in my Hotel in London ..everyone evacuated out on the street in biting cold. Suspecting explosion in next door."

The actor however managed to escape the site, "Managed to get into a car and driving away from site of emergency. Police not allowing anyone near," he further tweeted.

Later in the night he tweeted all the details of the emergency "Details of emergency: Building opposite my Hotel under construct, had dug earth for basement, put power station down there. Rain for the past few days had flooded the area underneath.. fear of power station short circuiting and exploding, causing causing very heavy cranes on site to tilt over and fall on Hotel crushing it, made police evacuate entire Hotel staff and guests were made to rush out to a school backyard behind in biting cold..."

He was advised by the hotel staff to move out of the hotel premises as it was considered unsafe at that point of time, he mentioned repeatedly in his tweets that it was very cold, "had just about time to slip on a warm coat on advice was asked to drive away, got a car from walking a few streets and kept away for a few hours before clearance"

His last tweet was "Safe and all clear now !! Thank you all for your concern!!" as Twitter was flooded with concerned messages from his fans across the globe.

The actor had left for London on 15th January for work after signing a contract with Sony for KBC's two more seasons.
