Ammas men to add glitter to Vijays birthday

TIRUCHY: AIADMK ministers, MPs and district functionaries will join actor Vijay’s fans in celebrating the birthday of their ‘Ilaya Thalapathi’, which has been planned on a grand scale on June 22. The actor himself has instructed his fans to co-ordinate the birthday celebrations with local AIADMK ministers, members of Parliament, MLAs and functionaries throughout the State, according to the functionaries of his fan club.The actor’s fans here said they were in a festive mood after the DMK’s defeat and this would be displayed in their birthday celebration on June 22.‘This birthday will mark a turn around for ‘Ilaya Thalapathi’ (young general), as it is the first after the AIADMK has assumed power. All the district units have been asked to celebrate the occasion in a grand manner,” said R K Raja, district president of Ilya Thalapathi Dr Vijay Welfare Movement.According to Raja, about 30,000 fans of the actor would donate blood on that day throughout the State. Arrangements have been made to distribute dhotis, sarees and notebooks. The actor’s fans who were in a sorrowful mood last year, as their hero had given a string of flops, are in a joyful and optimistic mood now. Vijay’s next film, Velayudham, to be released in August, will be a stupendous success, they predict.Raja said the success of the film would be a source of inspiration for the 45,000 registered fan clubs in Tamil Nadu. A club could be registered if it had 25 members, he said. Besides, the registered clubs, there are about 30,000 unregistered clubs, he revealed.
