HYDERABAD: Close on the heels of a youngster creating a flutter by climbing an hoarding at Koti recently, similar tense moments were experienced at Malkajgiri on Saturday after an auto driver climbed atop an advertisement hoarding and threatened to jump from there, if elected public representatives do not resign.
In a related incident, another auto driver tried to immolate himself at Balanagar for the cause of T . An auto driver from Vinayak Nagar, 38yearold Chandu, climbed atop a 40feet hoarding at Anand Nagar around 4 p.m and called up his friends stating that he would commit suicide. He demanded that the elected representatives resign from their posts. As the crowd swelled within minutes, Chandu demanded that Malkajgiri legislator Akula Rajender tender his resignation. Local JAC and BJP leaders also reached the spot and staged a dharna.
