New Delhi: The Andhra Pradesh High Court on Thursday will give its verdict on the writ petition filed by Silk Smitha's brother against the makers of 'The Dirty Picture'.
The film ran into trouble when Silk Smitha's brother Naga Vara Prasad objected to the way she's been portrayed in the film portrayal of Silk Smitha in an unsavoury light. He also added that the family never consented to the filming.
According to the petition, Prasad got to know that a film was being made on his sister through television and newspapers, with the title 'The Dirty Picture'.
The writ petition has been filed after issuing two legal notices to Balaji Telefilms, the producers of the film.
As the filmmakers failed to reply to the notices, Prasad decided to move the High Court over the issue.
The film's release depends on the court's verdict.
