ASI found hanging

CHOTTANIKKARA: An Additional Sub-Inspector (ASI) attached to the Chottanikkara police station was found hanging at a rented room in a marriage hall here on Saturday.The deceased is Purushan, 54, of Mulanthuruthy Kuzhippanathil Veedu.  According to his relatives, Purushan did not return home after work on Friday. Following this, they lodged a complaint with the Chottanikkara police.It was the local people who found him hanging from the ceiling fan.  His room was unlocked. The police recovered a suicide note from the body which said that he had erred in his duty and requested not to give his photo to the media. Purushan is survived by wife Shobhana and children Rahul and Athul. The body was handed over to the relatives after postmortem examination.
