Be agile to remain competent

CHENNAI: Sri Venkateswara College of Engineering (SVCE) celebrated its 27th College Day recently on its campus. B Ravi Shankar, Senior Vice President-Human Resources, HCL Technologies, Chennai, was the chief guest. In his address, Ravi Shankar advised the students to be always hungry for knowledge, as it will help them learn new things – for learning is a continuous process. He said, “Learning agility is to be the most prized competency in future. It would guarantee success. The firms also measure the employee’s ability to learn faster. It is not true that only toppers shine well. The rest also do well, as the life outside college teaches them the skills necessary for success.” Gokul Santhanam of Global Compensation was conferred with the Best Alumnus Award at the event.
