George Harrison’s hand-written lyrics for the hit song While My Guitar Gently Weeps fetched a hefty sum of $300,000.
New Delhi: Beatle George Harrison’s hand-written lyrics for the band’s hit song While My Guitar Gently Weeps fetched a hefty sum of $300,000 at an auction in Arizona on Monday.
Written and recorded in 1968, the song reveals the rift within the band at that time.
The lyrics sheet includes corrections made by Harrison, and a verse omitted from the completed track, reported Contactmusic.
On the reverse side of the sheet are the lyrics of the hit song Hey Jude, which was hand-written by Beatles road manager Mal Evans.
