Bellary: Siruguppa MLA backs BJP candidate

BELLARY: Siruguppa MLA MS Somalingappa, who had identified himself with the Reddy brothers, has said that he would back BJP candidate P Gadhilingappa in the by-election to Bellary Rural constituency.Speaking to media here on Monday, he said that he was a staunch follower of the BJP and he would work for the victory of the candidate. He made it clear that he would not defect from the party at any cost. “I am a disciplined soldier of the party, rumours about me leaving the party are false.”He said that the BJP government has released large amounts for development works in Siruguppa taluk in the last three-and-half years, adding that he will join the party’s election campaign.
