Bengaluru boy killed as bus hits his mother's two-wheeler when she was trying to avoid pothole

Bengaluru: A nine-year-old boy was run over by a bus and was killed on the spot on Sunday morning in Bengaluru's Yeshwantpur area when he was riding pillion on his mother's two-wheeler.

The mother was trying to avoid a pothole on the road when the bus hit the scooter from behind, knocking the boy on to the road after which he came under the wheels of the bus.

After the incident, tension prevailed in the area with locals pelting stones at the bus and assaulting the driver. A complaint has been registered.

Traffic police and public filled up the pothole later.
