BJD leader murdered

BERHAMPUR: Tension ran high in Haripur village in Dharakote block on Sunday following killing of BJD leader Congress Nayak. He was the Dharakote block representative of Aska MP Nityananda Pradhan. Over a dispute on pasting of posters, a group of miscreants on Sunday evening dragged Congress Nayak out of his house and attacked him with swords killing him on the spot. As the news spread, the BJD supporters blocked highway passing through the village demanding immediate arrest of those involved in the murder. The agitation was called off following police intervention.
