Jaipur: Extending their support to Uma Bharti at a time when the sanyasinhas landed herself in the eye of a political storm, Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) Supremo Ashok Singhal said Uma has all the support from the VHP for the Ram Yatra she plans to take up.
Speaking at the Hindu Integration Yatra in Jaipur, the VHP made it clear that no matter what the BJP decides in Delhi, the sants are supporting Uma in her political battle.
VHP Chief Ashok Singhal said Uma will join the Hindu Integration Yatra very soon before she sets off for the Ram Yatra.
"Not just this Uma, we?ll support every Uma. We support and stand beside everyone who keeps close to the name of Ram," Ashok Singhal said.
Not only does the Parivar back her they also feel the BJP has gone against its values by not getting the legislators to elect their leader in MP.
"If the leader was decided by the Parliamentary Board, there was no point in taking the issue to the legislators. The legislators should have been allowed to choose their leader," Giriraj Kishore, Senior VHP leader said.
While the BJP has made it clear that the party workers will not participate in the Uma?s Ram yatra which is being described a "personal event", Uma Bharati will have company in Sangh Parivar.
