Britain: Prime Minister Tony Blair is facing criticism in the United Kingdom for not pulling out troops from Iraq.
Blair wants British troops to remain there until the Iraqi forces are capable of maintaining security in Iraq.
Last week, the Chief of Britain's Army, General Richard Dannatt, sparked a political storm when he said British troops should withdraw from Iraq soon.
He said their presence was worsening the security situation in Iraq and in the wider world.
The British Opposition is angry over the divergent stands taken by their Prime Minister and militray generals.
Says Opposition Conservative Leader David Cameron, ""We all support the elected government of Iraq and we all want to get the job done. But when the Prime Minister says we are going to get the job done we need to know what he means. It's no use having him say one thing and the Chief of the General Staff say another thing."
