BMTF Fire: Opposition demands COD inquiry

BANGALORE: BBMP Opposition leader M Uday Shankar demanded Corps of Detectives (COD) probe into the fire incident. While  Siddaiah and Home Minister R Ashok stated that all documents were safe, Uday Shankar claimed that all the important documents were destroyed in the mishap, leading to confusions.“Fire broke out in the place where important documents were stored and one can imagine the level of security at the BMTF. Why couldn’t they appoint a sentry? Unlike other police stations, why was the BMTF working for just 8 hours a day,” he questioned, and said, “BJP has to take responsibility for the fire incident. If such things continue, BBMP may shutdown in the future.”
