Boy murdered by friend at Zaheerabad

HYDERABAD: A 11-year boy from Nepal was murdered allegedly after he resisted sexual advances on him by a youngster at Zaheerabad in Medak district late on Wednesday night.The boy’s body was found outside the Gandhi Memorial School on the outskirts of Zaheerabad town by a police beat constable around 1:10 am. The deceased was identified as Vikram alias Allu Singh from Nepal.Police said Allu Singh had come to the city nearly a year and a half ago and had been staying with his sister and brother-in-law, Arjun, who works as a 'Gurkha’ (night watchman), at Shantinagar in the town. Allu Singh was working as a helper in a hotel and came in contact with a youngster, Ganesh, who hails from Bihar. According to Zaheerabad police sub-inspector P Sridhar Reddy, Allu Singh went out of the house with Ganesh on Wednesday night and that was the last time he was seen."We suspect Ganesh is a homosexual. He might have made sexual advances on Allu Singh who resisted his attempt. In a fit of rage, Ganesh smashed Singh’s head in the middle with a stick, killing him,’’ the SI said. Police suspect that the killing took place at some other place. “Ganesh wrapped Allu Singh’s head in a polythene cover and disposed of the body near the school,’’ police said. Ganesh was arrested and is being interrogated.
