Syndicate Bank Staff Association, affiliated to BMS, has demanded that permission should be granted for campus recruitment as a one-time solution for the acute shortage of manpower in the banking industry. K S Bhat, secretary of SBSA, said bank branches were unable to monitor the loan accounts on regular intervals, owing to manpower shortage.
