Some children are born with creative talents well above the average which you will notice only in them. Besides these skills, some other characteristics in these children initially seem quite problematic but hint at the brilliance of these students. Dr Debmita Dutta, a parenting consultant has talked about the characteristic attributes of these children that irritate their parents.
1. Not sitting in one place- If the child finds it difficult to sit in one spot and keeps roaming at different places even after you have not allowed them to do so, it shows that he or she is curious by nature. This curiosity prompts the students to learn everything at a rapid speed.
2. Not listening to things- There can be instances when your child doesn’t listen pay heed to what you are saying. He can be feeling lost or might be busy with his work. It should not be perceived as a sign of ignorance, rather it is their well-focussed approach. It implies that they can concentrate on an issue for a longer time.
3. Lying about things- Parents might feel that their children might be making some excuses or lying about things. These things should not be encouraged but there is a silver lining to it. These kids could have a creative bent of mind that prompts them to come up with such fabricated stories or lies.
4. Arguing in the middle of a conversation- Critical thinking abilities are important for achieving success in life. If your child starts arguing or tries to interrupt in the middle of a conversation, it is a sign of his or her critical thinking skills. With these skills, children can find the solutions to their problems immediately.
5. Handling everything on their own- Some children have a confident personality right from a very young age. It encourages them to handle the tasks on their own and not be dependent on their parents for them. The parents need not feel sad due to this. They should be happy that the children have learned the art of managing everything on their own.
Parents should have the patience to deal with the seemingly irritating habits of their children. If not handled with patience, they can cause a setback in their brain development and intelligence.
