New Delhi: The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Friday questioned eight officials of the Noida police for alleged destruction of evidence in the murders of Noida girl Arushi Talwar and domestic help Hemraj.
The CBI on Friday subjected Dr Rajesh Talwar, who is under arrest for the murders, to a second polygraph test. It questioned Rajkumar, domestic help of Praful and Anita Durrani, family friends of the Talwar couple.
Aarushi, 14, was found murdered in her upscale Jal Vayu Vihar apartment in Noida on May 16. The police initially named her family's domestic help Hemraj as the prime accused but backtracked when his body was found on the roof of the building the next day.
The Noida police arrested Talwar on May 23, saying he killed Arushi and Hemraj in a fit of rage. The CBI took over the case June 1 after a public outcry over the shoddy manner in which the Noida police had investigated the case.
Talwar's compounder Krishna was arrested on June 13 but no charges have been framed against him yet.
