CCTV Captures Worli Hit-And-Run Accused Getting Into Car Outside Juhu Bar, Lookout Notice Issued
The footage shows Mihir Shah sitting inside the car on the passenger seat. In the CCTV video, it could be seen that he did not sit behind the wheel in the car. 

The CCTV footage of the accused in the Worli hit and run case has been accessed by CNN-News18. A lookout notice has also been issued against Mihir Shah, the accused.

The footage shows Shiv Sena (Shinde faction) leader’s son Mihir Shah getting into a car with his friends outside a bar just before his BMW car hit a couple on Sunday, leaving the woman dead.

The footage shows him sitting inside the car on the passenger seat. In the CCTV video, it could be seen that Mihir Shah did not sit behind the wheel in the car. However, it is not clear whether the car seen in the footage is the BMW that hit the couple.

CNN-News18 has also accessed the bill from the night and found that the accused and his friend had gone to Juhu’s Global Tapas Bar and had paid a total bill of Rs 18,730.

Shiv Sena Leader Arrested

While Mihir remained absconding, a lookout notice has been issued against him and twelve police teams have been formed to nab him. Mihir’s father and Shiv Sena leader Rajesh Shah was arrested on Sunday along with his driver Rajrishi Rajendrasingh Bidawat. Bidawat was allegedly present inside the car at the time of accident. Rajesh Shah allegedly helped accused Mihir Shah escape and several attempts were made to destroy evidence.

The arrest came after a case was registered under Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita sections relating to culpable homicide not amounting to murder, rash driving and destruction of evidence, among others.

What Happened on Sunday?

At around 5:25 am on Sunday morning, Mihir allegedly rammed his BMW into a scooter, killing a 45-year-old woman named Kaveri and injuring her husband Pradip Nakhwa, aged 50.

As per media reports, the BMW was later found in an abandoned state in Kala Nagar in the Bandra East area. According to police, Mihir left his car in Bandra before running away in an auto-rickshaw. His companion, Rajrishi Bidawat also took an auto-rickshaw and came to Borivali after the crash.
