Chandigarh police have decided to re-open the disappearance cases of over a dozen children.

New Delhi: As skeletons tumble out of businessman Moninder Singh Pandher’s Noida house, police in his hometown Chandigarh have also swung into swift action.

While a team of Noida police on Monday evening questioned Pandher’s family at his Chandigarh house in Sector 27, the Chandigarh police have decided to re-open the disappearance cases of over a dozen children from places around the area.

Meanwhile, a five-member team of the Special Operations Group of UP, assisted by the Chandigarh Police, conducted a thorough search of Pandher's house.

"They searched the house but found nothing incriminating. No digging inside or around the premises was, however done," Deputy Superintendent of Chandigarh Police, Prem Singh Malik, told news agency PTI.

The search lasted for over an hour and the family members present inside the house were questioned. The police team did not rule out further searches but did not reveal when or where.

Pandher's Chandigarh house wears a deserted look, with only a pair of dogs and a Chandigarh Police vehicle seen outside his house.

On Monday, some Bajrang Dal activists raised slogans outside the house, demanding exemplary punishment to Pandher.
