Chinese school replaces books with iPads
According to Modern Express newspaper, 21 public primary and middle schools in Nanjing are planning to promote the use of iPads or laptops.

Beijing: A high school in China has equipped its senior students with iPads in a bid to replace books and help students in their studies, China Daily reported.

Jinling High School in downtown Nanjing, capital of Jiangsu, has provided 30 students with the Apple tablets to reduce the burden of school bags from at least five kg to less than one kg while saving book expenses by thousands of yuan a year.

According to Modern Express newspaper, 21 public primary and middle schools in Nanjing are planning to promote the use of iPads or laptops.

The cost of the equipment would not be borne by students.
