New Delhi: Actor-turned-politician and Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Shatrughan Sinha on Sunday took potshots at Union Cabinet Minister for Women and Child Development Maneka Gandhi, suggesting her to "choose the right subject at the right time and after consulting right people".
In a series of tweets, Shatrughan launched into a diatribe against the fellow BJP leader and said, "There are other ways of staying in the news or coming into the limelight than holding movies responsible for crimes."

However, a day later, Shatrughan came out in defence of the film industry and urged Maneka not to scapegoat cinema for everything. Commending some of the recent movies with strong social messages, Shatrughan asked Maneka about her views on films “such as Pink, Dangal”, too.
