Civil Aviation centenary celebrations on June 18

NEDUMBASSERY: The regional celebrations of  the centenary of civil aviation in the country will be inaugurated by Union Minister for Civil Aviation Vayalar  Ravi at the Conference Hall of Kochi International Airport on Saturday  at 9 am. The Minister will  honour newly-appointed Cochin International Airport  Ltd Managing Director V J Kurien for his  contribution to the airport under public-private participation in the country. excise Minister K Babu will preside over the meeting.Civil Aviation Joint Secretary Alok Sinha will deliver the introductory speech. Water Resources Minister P J Joseph will deliver the  keynote address. Former CIAL Chairman C G Krishnadas Nair, too, will speak on the occasion.Papers will be presented b A C K Nair, Thulaseedas (Kannoor Airport) and J P Alex (Kozhikode Airport) on ‘Growth Opportunities for Regional Airports’.  Airport Authority of India Regional Executive Director Devaraj will  preside over the function.
