HYDERABAD: Chief minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy will launch a 10day 'Rythu Mahila Sadassulu' at Pulla village in West Godavari district on Thursday. Besides, he will also launch 'Stree Nidhi' bank and lay foundation stone for PHC and modernised veterinary dispensaries in the village. Foundation stone for construction of 'Stree Shakti Bhavans' would be laid in every mandal across the state. About `1,000 crore would be allocated towards setting up 'Stree Nidhi' bank.
On this occasion, crop insurance and pavala vaddi loans all worth Rs 3,000 crore would be distributed. Of the total amount, about `1,200 crore would cover about 37 lakh farmers and another ` 1,745 crore would benefit about 84 lakh women.The 10day event will be used to educate farmers regarding seasonal conditions and best practices in agriculture. It will also be used to kick off the rejuvenation programme for the selfhelp groups as formulated by the SERP.
