Common man ignored: CPI

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Union Finance Minister Pranabh Mukherjee presented a budget which  completely ignored the common man and the poor, CPI state secretary C K Chandrappan has said. The budget is more considerate to the big-time capitalists, corporates and monopolies. The burning issues raised by 50 crore labourers through a nation-wide strike on February 28 did not find any mention in the budget. The Union Government is attempting to go ahead with more privatisation measures, Chandrappan said.
