KOCHI: In order to complete the process of organisational revamp in the state unit of the Congress, AICC general secretary in charge of the state Madhusudan Mistry will be here next week. Mistry will hold discussions with Chief Minister Oommen Chandy, KPCC president Ramesh Chennithala and other KPCC executive members, sources in the party said. He would also hold meetings with the party leaders, especially of Kannur, Kollam, Kozhikode and Alappuzha. On the reshuffling of the KPCC and the DCC, Mistry said: ‘’I will be coming to the state. The leaders in Kerala have to do it on their own.’’ He added: “Chandy and Chennithala had met me in Delhi and talks were held regarding many issues related to the party, especially the reconstitution of the various party units.”During the visit to Delhi, the state leaders also held talks with Union ministers A K Antony and Vayalar Ravi. Though Mistry is in charge of the party in the state, he would not have any major role to play in the party revamp. It is learned that the state leadership has almost reached a consensus with regard to the KPCC members and the new DCC presidents. The list is almost finalised, they said adding there would not be any major changes in the list, which has been approved by the top leadership. Ramesh Chennithala had already made clear that the reshuffle would be completed by the end of next month. It is for the first time the Congress has come up with the ‘one man one post’ policy, which means that many of the ministers and MLAs would have to relinquish their position in the KPCC and the DCC.
