Consumerfed celebrates Onam

The government-manned Kerala State Co-operatives Consumers’ Federation Ltd (Consumerfed) celebrated Onam at their head office here on Tuesday.

Hibi Eden MLA was the chief guest. Consumerfed chairman Joy said that to bring in the real rustic character for the celebration, they have served a sumptuous feast specially prepared from Onattukara, Alappuzha, once a granary of Central Travancore. “Besides, the place possesses a rich tradition and unique culture which revolves around agrarian economy,” he said.

Around 300 staff of Consumerfed took part in the celebration. Former MLA John Fernandes was also present.
