New Delhi: A conversation intercepted by the National Technical Research Organisation (NTRO) from Karachi led Indian security agencies to the suspicious boat which finally blew itself up in the Arabian Sea in the intervening night of December 31 and January 1.

As per the details emerging on how that boat was tracked by the Coast Guard, NTRO intercepted a conversation from Karachi about supply of equipment to the Indian side. According to the conversation, the consignment was a costly one and the people were paid a large amount for delivering the consignment.

The conversation was shared with highest authorities in the government and the job to neutralize the Pakistani team was assigned to the Coast Guard.

More details are now emerging on how the ship was traced. According to Intelligence sources, this movement was bigger than what was witnessed during 26/11 and it was impossible for it to enter territorial waters without some sort of state support. A probe has been launched into this aspect of the incident.

What is worrying the security agencies that the boat was carrying explosives meant for a specific terror group, sources said.
