Cops seal cracker godown

The godown was also sealed as it did not have legal permission.Police said that they received a tip off from the public that staff of a fire cracker factory were storing the crackers in the matchbox godown at Kunnoorpatti near Viluppanur at Srivilliputhur Taluk. Malli police raided the godown and seized 33 boxes of finished fire cracker products stored without the safety measures.Police booked a case against Lakshman (34), son of Karuppaiah of Thirutthangal. He apparent brought the fire crackers from his fire unit in Srivilliputhur Taluk and kept them in his matchbox factory located in the residential area. Police said Lakshman did not get any permission for the godown.
