BANGALORE: The Lokayukta Special Court on Friday posted its order on the private complaint filed by a developer, Alam Pasha, against Industries Minister Murugesh Nirani to October 24. The court will decide on that day whether to take cognizance of the complaint based on the documents submitted by Pasha.Not hiring any advocate to argue his case, Pasha placed before Judge N K Sudheendra Rao all documents in his possession to defend his complaint and requested the Judge to order an inquiry into the issue.According to Pasha, as industries minister Nirani had facilitated the non-existent and dormant companies — MRN Sugars and Power Limited, Sai Priya Sugars, Vijayashree Sugars and Power Ltd, Shakti Steel Industries — promoted by his brother and others to get large tracts of land on the pretext of starting industries in north Karnataka.All these companies bore the same address, Pasha said.Further, he submitted that these companies were in the process of raising a loan of Rs 280 crore from the Karnataka Cooperative Apex Bank by pledging the lands allotted by the Karnataka Industrial Area Development Board (KIADB).Pasha also accused Nirani of denotifying two land sites - 20 acres of fully developed industrial land at Hoovinayakanahalli near Devanahalli and seven acres at Dobbspet Industrial Area - acquired by the KIADB for pecuniary gains.Earlier during the day, the Lokayukta Jugde was annoyed by the random submission of documents by Pasha and asked him to index all documents in a proper manner before further adjourning the case to the afternoon.
