Koderma (Jharkhand): CPI-ML (Liberation) on Saturday said it would vote against the Arjun Munda government during the trial of strength in the Assembly next week.
The party has a single MLA, Vinod Kumar Singh, in the 82-member assembly.
"The Munda government has been reduced to a minority and it should go as it has lost its majority in the House," CPI-ML-L General Secretary Dipankar Bhattacharya said at a rally.
However, an alternative government was no answer and "elections are the best soultion", he said.
Launching a scathing attack on Speaker Inder Singh Namdhari for serving notices to three MLAs, the Left leader said, "The speaker is acting like an agent of the Munda government which is against democratic norms."
Acting on separate petitions, Namdhari has served notices to Kamlesh Singh and Enos Ekka, who quit the Munda cabinet, and independent MLA Stephen Marandi. He would hear them on September 11.
Before the dissidence, the NDA had a wafer-thin majority of 43 MLAs, while the opposition UPA had 39.
