Rural Development Minister Gulabchand Kataria intervened in a debate during the Zero Hour and informed the Assembly that the state has registered a decline in the crime rate.
Crime incidents against people belonging to Schedule Caste came down by 50 per cent and by 35 per cent against people from Schedule Tribes in 2014 as compared to the last year.
The minister informed the House that in the month of June this year, the number of cases of robbery, murder, rape and atrocities against women was less than the cases registered in the corresponding month of the last year.
