New Delhi: Jamaican gold medallist triple jumper Trecia Smith won the David Dixon Award for the best athlete at the 19th Commonwealth Games on Thursday.
Smith is the third athlete after India's pistol shooter Samresh Jung and South African swimmer Natalie Du Toit to win the award, named after the former honourary secretary of the Commonwealth Games Federation.
Jung won the award in Melbourne (2006) while Natalie got it in Manchester (2002).
