New Delhi: For the first time after he was granted bail, the Delhi police on Sunday questioned Rahul Mahajan in connection with the high-profile drug abuse case in which his late father Pramod Mahajan's aide Bibek Moitra died.

Rahul was interrogated for nearly two hours, first individually and later confronted along with businessman Sudhanshu Mittal and domestic help Anil.

The two, who took him to the hospital after the late night party on June 2, are accused by police of destroying evidence.

Besides gathering more information from the three to piece together the sequence of events, the trio were subjected to sustained questioning by the investigating sleuths to check if there was any mismatch in their individual statements made to the police on the incident.

They were questioned at the Tughlak Road Police Station by a team of police officials led by Assistant Commissioner of Police, Suman Nalwa.

Rahul was earlier questioned at the Intensive Care Unit of the Apollo Hospital following which he was arrested and grilled for two days in police custody.

"I am cooperating with them. I have always been cooperating I have a lot of respect for them whenever, they call me I will appear for questioning," Rahul told reporters after coming out of the police station.
