Delhi: School In Greater Kailash Evacuated After Bomb Threat Mail, Probe Underway
It is written in the email that a bomb was planted in the school yesterday.

A private school in Delhi’s Greater Kailash area on Friday received an email threatening to blow up the school with a bomb, reported news agency ANI citing the Police. The building was evacuated as a precautionary measure.

According to the police, the email was received by the school around midnight, claimed that a bomb was planted in the school’s premises on Thursday. Thorough checking was done by a bomb detection team and nothing suspicious was found, a police officer said and added that a dog squad was also deployed for the search.

The police added that a case was registered, and a probe was underway.

Last week, a hoax call of a bomb in a cluster bus was received at Nazafgarh, that caused panic among the passengers. According to the officials of the Delhi Fire Service (DFS), a call was received at 11:55 pm on Saturday stating that a bomb was suspected in a cluster bus of route number 961 — which runs between Narela and Najafgarh. Upon thorough checking, nothing was found.

Earlier in May, over 130 schools across Delhi-NCR received bomb threats causing much panic among the students and administration.

Sanskriti School in Chanakyapuri police station area, Mother Mary School in Mayur Vihar of East Delhi, DPS School in Dwarka, DAV School, Amity Schools in Pushp Vihar and Saket district among schools in Delhi that received bomb threats via E-mail. Delhi Public School, Noida is one of the schools that received the bomb threat via E-mail.

Investigation agencies suspected that the email, which was sent to schools in Delhi-NCR, originated from a server located in Russia.

Recently, schools, hospitals and airports have been targeted by bomb threats. Previously, over 60 schools, the Indira Gandhi International (IGI) Airport and over half a dozen government hospitals in the national capital received bomb threats through emails. Delhi police later said that nothing suspicious was found.
