Delhi: Two inmates escape Tihar jail through a ditch

New Delhi: Breaching the security, two people who were behind bars for burglary, escaped Tihar Jail early on Sunday morning. They jumped the wall of the jail in which they were lodged and entered a nearby compound. Thereafter, they then managed to break the wall and escaped through a nearby ditch.

The incident came to light when the duo did not answer the daily roll call.

While one of the fugitives has been arrested, the second one is still at large. According to reports, the Tihar jail authorities informed the police very late about the escape.
