58. Dhamtari is a state Assembly/Vidhan Sabha constituency in the state of Chhattisgarh and is part of Mahasamund Lok Sabha/Parliamentary constituency. Dhamtari falls in Dhamtari district and Central region of Chhattisgarh. It is categorised as a rural seat.
There are a total of 2,09,369 voters in the seat, which includes 1,02,614 male voters, and 1,06,749 female voters. In the 2018 Chhattisgarh elections, Dhamtari recorded a voter turnout of 82.34%. In 2013 the turnout was 83.49%, and in 2008 it was 81.08%.
In 2013, Gurumukh Singh Hora of INC won the seat by a margin of 10,500 votes (6.76%). Gurumukh Singh Hora secured 45.66% of the total votes polled.
INC won this seat in the 2008 Assembly elections with a margin of 27,007 votes (19.34%), registering 54.96% of the total votes polled.
