Dharwad Central Jail inmates attack police

DHARWAD: The Dharwad Central Jail inmates have reportedly attacked a police personnel on Thursday afternoon during their raid in the jail premises following a suspicious call.According to sources, a team of police entered the jail between 1 pm and 3 pm and tried to inspect the barracks. But when the inmates didn't permit the police to enter their barracks, heated arguments took place between them and the police, it is said.Jail authorities too intervened into the discussion, but the inmates didn't listen to them and the argument turned violent and the inmates reportedly attack the police.
