Dog loots man of Rs 60K, scoots off

New Delhi: A dog is man’s best friend. Or so goes the saying.

But a dog in Srinagar did not exactly behave like a friend when it gave a man in Srinagar a run for his money by snatching his bag allegedly containing Rs.60,000 in cash.

Mushtaq Ahmed, a kerosene depot owner, was also carrying some meat in the bag which apparently attracted the canine last night. "While I was pulling down the shutters of my shop, a stray dog fled with the bag which contained meat and money," Ahmed was quoted as saying by PTI.

Ahmed reportedly chased the dog but in vain, after which he launched a hunt with his relatives, he said, adding the bag was yet to be found.
