Dhanbad: Three families on Thursday reported the Railways authorities that their relatives, who travelled in the AC coaches of Doon Express that caught fire on Tuesday, have not returned home.
"Three families have approached us saying their relatives, who had travelled by that train had not returned home," Divisional Rail Manager (Dhanbad) Sudhir Kumar said here.
"We have information of four individuals travelling separately. But their whereabouts are not yet known. It is too hazy now, but will be clear within a day or two," Kumar said.
Meanwhile, Eastern Zone Railway Safety Commissioner Arti Yadav continued the enquiry into the inferno and recorded statements of 81 persons, including, passengers, Rrailway employees, in Dhanbad.
Principal Officer of Forensic department AK Sinha, who yesterday visited the site to inspect the fire-ravaged coaches at Roshantunda near Parasnath, once again visited the spot on Thursday.
Jharkhand Fire Brigade Services chief Suresh Prasad had went to the spot on Wednesday.
Seven passengers had been charred to death in the fire incident with one person yet to be identified.
