DTC will be running special buses from Friday to ferry people of neighbouring states and NCR, going on annual 'Urs' at the Sufi shrine in Ajmer, from a transit camp to railway stations in the national capital.
The transit camp has been set up at Burari Ground (Outer Ring Road) as large number of visitors are expected to come from neighbouring states and NCR, DTC officials said.
"DTC has decided to run buses for pilgrims from Friday between Old Delhi Railway station, Jama Masjid and Burari at a flat fare of Rs 15 per passenger," said RS Minhas, a DTC spokesperson, said.
Minhas also said that as most pilgrims would be coming at transit camp from neighbouring states, DTC will also run 'Delhi Darshan' buses for the pilgrims.
"If any pilgrim wants to visit historical places like Red Fort, Qutab Minar and Humayun's Tomb and other places, they can use DTC's Delhi Darshan seva from transit camp. For this, DTC will charge Rs 100 from per passenger," he said.
DTC officials said that sufficient number of officials will be deployed to manage the special buses for the convenience of devotees.
