New Delhi: There was palpable excitement as Prime Minister Narendra Modi touched down in The Hague, the capital of the Netherlands, on Tuesday on the final leg of his three-nation tour. As this year marks the 70th year of India-Dutch relations, PM Modi tweeted in Dutch during his visit. His Dutch counterpart, Mark Rutte, also took to the micro-blogging site and tweeted to his Indian counterpart in Hindi. This though, did not go as planned:

As always, the Twitterati were at hand to take the absolute lack of space(bar) by the Dutch PM to the cleaners:

Soo overwhelmed Minister President, nice initiative to remove all space between the two countries. ❤ — Lazy Cat 'न' (@uPoliticat) June 27, 2017
The Dutch PM though did get it right the second time. Here’s what he tweeted after meeting PM Narendra Modi:
नीदरलैंड्स में पधारने के लिए धन्यवाद @narendramodi हम आने वाले वर्षों में हमारे सतत सहयोग के लिए तत्पर हैं। pic.twitter.com/bi9EzwQQTt — Minister-president (@MinPres) June 27, 2017
