Excise Ministers phone stolen

BANGALORE: Excise Minister Renukacharya, is always in the news for various reasons. This time, his phone worth Rs. 40,000 was stolen, when he was celebrating the win of BJP MLA candidate in the Koppal bypoll on Thursday.The incident took place in front of former Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa’s house on Race Course road. The miscreants hoodwinked the gunmen of the minister and made away with a costly mobile phone, when he was with hundreds of BJP activists and bursting crackers and distributing sweets. Now, he has lodged a complaint with the High Grounds Police station and requested them to look for his mobile phone. “The theft incident could have an adverse effect if the mobile phone reaches the wrong hands,” he added in the complaint.Police suspect that the thief might have stolen his mobile phone while he was being lifted up by his supporters, who were busy shouting slogans.
