Explosives seized in Maoist hub

MALKANGIRI: In a joint operation on Thursday, the last day of the PLGA Week, SOG Commandos, BSF personnel and District Voluntary Forces recovered a huge cache of explosives at Bhajaguda in the foothills of Bonda Hill. During a raid at Patraput village, about 46 km from Mudulipada police limits, security forces found a big drum containing explosives and other materials. They have been conducting raids in the forest areas for the past few days.Malkangiri SP Anirudha Singh reached Mudulipada police station, where the seized explosives were kept, on Friday.At least 43 gelatin sticks, 10 commercial detonators, Maoist literature, two bundles of wire and 10 pairs of Maoist uniform were found, police said.
