For an eco-friendly Ganesh Chaturthi
For an eco-friendly Ganesh Chaturthi

Aimed at making India’s most popular festival, Ganesh Chaturthi more ecologically sound is the BIG Green Ganesha Campaign, an initiative by a radio channel,  which is a small effort for nurturing the environment.

This year’s campaign is launched by means of a watchword ‘Ganesh Maharaj Ki Jai, Bhoomata Ki Jai’.

People can donate newspapers which will be used to make paper made idols for the festival.

Singer Sunitha and actress Madhu Shalini were among the celebrities who have lent their support for the cause and donated a stack of newspapers each at a function in the city on Thursday.
